About RestVerdict

RestVerdict is an independent publisher of sleep and bedding buying guides, covering mattress toppers, pillows, mattresses and bed sheets. The goal is simple: help you work out what actually fixes your sleep problem, and what is just marketing, before you spend the money.

Our depth is not the same in every section and we say so rather than implying otherwise: we publish product picks where we have verified the specifications, price and stock ourselves, and guidance without picks where we have not, which is currently the case for sheets.

What we cover, and how deep

The site is organised into four sections, and they are not equally deep on purpose.

An empty recommendation slot is not a gap we paper over; it is the same standard applied when the answer is "not yet".

Who writes these guides

Guides are published under the RestVerdict masthead by the RestVerdict Editorial Team, the sleep and bedding desk at RestVerdict. RestVerdict guides are published under the RestVerdict masthead by our editorial team, not a personal byline. Each guide is based on the research method and the evidence disclosed on the page.

There is no invented reviewer persona here: no stock-photo author with a fictional biography, which is a pattern this industry has too much of. The masthead is the byline, and the evidence for every conclusion is on the page it belongs to.

How we stay honest

Every guide states how it was put together and where it stops (see how we evaluate), and every affiliate relationship is disclosed (disclosure). Commissions never decide our picks.

When a brand makes a claim we cannot trace to independent evidence, we say that on the page instead of repeating it, and when someone else's rating is worth quoting, we credit it to them rather than presenting it as our own score.

What that looks like in practice

Three examples from live pages.

Saying what we do not know costs us clicks and keeps the rest of the site believable.

Questions or corrections: contact us. We would rather fix a page than defend it.
